Lavenham is well known as one of the best preserved medieval towns in the country. It has a rich past - and from the 14th to the 16th C. flourished as one of the foremost wool and cloth-making centres in England, famed in particular for its blue broadcloth. Bury St Edmunds a rich web of history is woven into every street. Few areas in England can match the beauty and history of Bury St. Edmunds and the surrounding towns, villages and countryside. Long Melford this former wool town is now the "Antiques Capital of Suffolk". West Stow Country Park and Anglo-Saxon Village. The new Hall in the Anglo-Saxon Village is now completed and open to visitors.
